Privacy Policy
Last updated October 22, 2026
The short version
- Binbee posts to your social accounts only what you schedule, when you schedule it.
- We don’t sell your information or use it for ads, and there are no third-party trackers.
- AI writing help runs on AWS, which doesn’t train models on your text.
- Deleting your account deletes your files, posts and connected accounts.
1. Who we are
Binbee (binbee.app) is a social media scheduler for teachers who make classroom resources. It is run by 2nd Word LLC, doing business as Binbee, based in Tennessee, USA. Questions about this policy or your data go to [email protected].
2. What we collect
Your account. Your name, email address, password (stored only as a one-way hash), your @handle, and anything you add to your profile, like a bio. If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email address, profile photo and an account ID from them. We never see your Google or Facebook password. We also keep the invite code you signed up with. If you ask for an invite, we keep the name, email, store link and note you send.
Social accounts you connect. When you connect Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or YouTube, the platform gives us an access key so Binbee can post for you. We store each account’s ID, name, username and profile picture, plus details we need to post (like your Pinterest boards or Facebook Pages). Access keys are encrypted. Later we read your posts’ results (views, likes, comments, shares and saves) to show you Insights.
What you make in Binbee. The resource files you upload, the page images and posts Binbee makes from them, and the posts, captions, photos, videos and notes you write and schedule. The original files you upload are deleted a day after upload; Binbee keeps the page images and posts made from them.
Clicks on your links. Links in your posts go through a short link on go.binbee.app so we can count clicks for you. For each click we record the time, which post and platform it came from, the page it went to, the browser type, the country, and whether it looks like a bot. We don’t store the visitor’s IP address: we store a scrambled version (a keyed hash) that can’t be turned back into it.
Basic technical data. Like most websites, our servers keep short-lived logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) to keep Binbee running and secure.
3. Cookies
We use a few first-party cookies and no advertising or third-party tracking cookies:
- A session cookie and a security token that keep you signed in and protect forms.
-
When someone clicks a Binbee short link, two cookies on binbee.app:
bb_vid, a random visitor ID (kept up to 2 years), andbb_click, which remembers the last link clicked (30 days). They let us tell repeat visits from new ones and, later, credit sales to the post that brought someone in. Clicks that look like bots get no cookies.
4. How we use it
- To run your account and the scheduler: show your calendar, make your ready-made posts, and publish what you schedule, at the time you pick.
- To show you how your posts did and how many people clicked through to your store.
- To email you about your account, such as a post that didn’t go out, an account that needs reconnecting, or your invite.
- To keep Binbee safe: stop spam and abuse, check links, and fix problems.
5. Posting on your accounts
Binbee posts to your social accounts only when you schedule a post or choose to post now. We don’t build a schedule for you, and we don’t post anything you didn’t schedule. We don’t read your private messages, and we don’t post or comment anywhere else.
Featuring on Binbee’s accounts. Binbee runs its own social accounts that share great teacher resources. We may feature one of yours there, crediting you and linking to your resource. You can turn this off at any time in your profile, under “Let Binbee feature my resources”.
6. AI writing help
Binbee uses AI to write captions for your ready-made posts and to help you write or rewrite posts. For this, the text involved (your resource’s title, description and tags, or the caption you’re writing) is sent to Anthropic’s Claude model through Amazon Web Services (AWS Bedrock). AWS doesn’t use this text to train AI models and doesn’t share it with the model’s maker. AI suggestions are only suggestions: nothing is posted until you schedule it.
7. Who we share it with
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising. We share it only:
- With the platforms you post to, when you schedule a post to them: the caption, media and settings for that post.
- With companies that run parts of Binbee for us, under contracts that limit what they can do with it: Amazon Web Services (hosting, file storage and AI), Cloudflare (network and security), and our email delivery provider.
- When the law requires it, or to protect people from harm, or as part of a sale or merger of Binbee (and we’d tell you first).
8. Google, YouTube and other platforms
Binbee’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use YouTube data only to post the Shorts you schedule and show you how they did.
Binbee uses YouTube API Services. By connecting YouTube you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google’s Privacy Policy applies to what Google collects. You can remove Binbee’s access at any time from your Google security settings, as well as by disconnecting the account in Binbee.
The same goes for Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok and Pinterest: each platform’s own terms and privacy policy apply to what you post there, and you can remove Binbee’s access in that platform’s settings.
9. How long we keep it, and deleting it
We keep your information while your account is open.
- Disconnect a social account on the Accounts page and we delete its access key and stop posting to it.
- Delete your account from your profile (Profile → Delete account) and we immediately delete your account, the social accounts you connected and their access keys, your scheduled posts, your uploaded resources and every file made from them, and your photos and videos. Copies in our backups are gone within 30 days. Click counts we keep only as totals that don’t identify anyone.
- Posts that were already published stay on the platforms. Delete them there if you want them gone.
You can also email [email protected] to delete your account or your data, including data Binbee received through Facebook or Instagram login. We’ll confirm once it’s done.
10. Your choices and rights
You can see and change most of your information in Binbee yourself. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected]. We answer within 30 days, and we won’t treat you differently for asking. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under local law, and we’ll honor them.
11. Children and students
Binbee is for adults, mainly teachers. It isn’t meant for children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. Please don’t upload students’ names, faces or other personal information unless you have the permission you need from the school and families. If you think a child has given us information, email [email protected] and we’ll delete it.
12. Security
Binbee uses encrypted connections (HTTPS) everywhere, encrypts the access keys to your social accounts, keeps your resource files private, and limits who on our side can see your data. No service is perfectly secure. If something goes wrong that affects your information, we’ll tell you.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change matters, such as using your data in a new way, we’ll tell you by email or in Binbee before it takes effect. See also our Terms of Service.
